Sarah Deel teaches in the Biology Department at Carleton College. She is repsonsible for coordinating and teaching introductory bio labs at Carleton. M. sexta labs currently being used in these courses include the "Effects of Elevated CO2 on Herbivory" as well as labs dealing with food choice, oviposition choice, and life cycle characteristics.

Amy Mulnix, Earlham College |

Amy Mulnix teaches in the Biology Department at Earlham College. She has developed and used the laboratory exercises investigating hemolymph changes in M. sexta. Her Ph.D. thesis research investigated the antibacterial response in M. sexta and she continues to work with undergraduates on hemolymph proteins (serpins). |
